Skating

On Tuesday we decided to get a little fresh air and some exercise. Now, if we were in Toronto, we would drive down to Harbourfront and go skating on the Natrel Rink with the view of the lake behind us. We decided to head down to Gwanghwamun where a new city rink opened up just recently. Not surprisingly, it was jam packed, and it was more treading than gliding on the ice. Stephanie was eager to get on the ice only to be surprised that she could barely stand (they only have hockey skates ; no figure skates) and I ended up skating with her between my legs and hunched over. Needless to say, I was in pain afterwards. It was not all in vain for near the end of the hour, Stephanie managed to balance herself a bit and take a few steps. Why is everything so much harder here?
