Starting Anew

Well, it's been a while since I've updated our blog, but as you can see we were a little busy. It was a crazy Friday with two separate shipments of books and belongings arriving at our new home in Seoul: one from Toronto and the other from our in-laws' where we had stored some of our furniture.

It's been over a week since we moved in but we are still moving things around. We've pretty much unpacked everything except for a few boxes of books. We are all very thankful that we are so close to the kids' school, and that it's in a very quiet neighborhood.

Some interesting features of our new home are marble floors in the master bedroom as well as both bathrooms, a very spacious dressing room as you can see in the picture. Though you can't see it here because I closed the doors, there is ample space to hold clothes and other things on either side of the room. At the end of the room is the ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. There is actually an elevator button just inside the main door to call the elevator from inside so that you don't have to wait by the elevator. Brilliant - except we are on the 2nd floor so don't really use the "gold" elevator. I know Mark will appreciate this one: a built in screen that scrolls down from the ceiling with a built in projector as well. We'll never have to go the movies again! Finally, there is a built in garden in the veranda with lush green "weed" looking plants- great for Michael and Stephanie to plant things. The prior owners planted a pepper plant so there is one red pepper riping away. It's so cute we don't know what to do with it. All in all, it is a very comfortable space for our family and we are very happy to be together again as a family and starting our next adventure together.
