Inchon Bridge

The Inchon bridge spans close to 20 km and offers direct access from Songdo, appointed a free economic zone, to Inchon International Airport. The ride and view over the bridge was exhilerating. It was a bit strange with a sense of abandonment as it is still in the works. Wide streets newly paved were lined with brand new concrete buildings but without plants and trees, it looked very bare and empty. I'm sure that once complete, it will be a very mondern and convenient location for both businesses and residents.


This morning I took the girls to Yongpoong bookstore downtown. The girls selected a couple of books to share, including a Korean comic book. Then we had lunch at le bon Pain which we all agreed was way overpriced. The gourmet-priced turkey club sandwich was nowhere near "gourmet" but looked more like something the kids would put together at home. The girls were shocked by the price but soon calmed down as they finished off their sandwich and salad. We came home and cracked open Confucius. Surprisingly the girls were receptive as we discussed the importance of taking time to be "philosophical" ;-)
