Cottaging

While Jessica was enjoying herself at Camp Ma Kee Wa with her Girl Guides troupe, the rest of us spent the weekend in Muskoka at Mer's Cottage. Though the weather was quite nice the first two days, it was still a bit too chilly to dip in the lake. Among other activities, we had a nice visit from Michelle and her two boys as they were also up at their cottage only a half hour away. The kids played and we chatted, doing a bit of catch up on the last 20 years. Mer and I managed to squeeze in 2 yoga practices both mornings and it was beautiful to practice among the woods and nature, and of course the kids. We also had lots of yummy treats including s'mores, and a movie. Michael was very fortunate as he spotted numerous wildlife including a beaver, different types of birds, guppies and insects. Unfortunately, it was extremely buggy and we had to limit the time we spent outside as the mosquitoes were everywhere. We had plenty of activities to do indoors and the enclosed porch was a perfect space to do outside things indoors!
