We woke up to this wonderful whiteness this morning...yes, it's the 10th of March. I had put away all of our winter things and the children have been wearing their spring/fall jackets. Just a few days ago Stephanie and I went for a walk along this very same path that you see in the pictures and ooed and ahhed over all the tiny blossoms on the trees and shrubs and imagined how big and beautiful they would be in a couple of weeks. So what a surprise it was when we saw snow everywhere. Koreans call this "Flower envy": Winter is jealous of the beautiful spring flowers so decides to crash the arrival of early spring flowers with a cold wave.As we live on the side of a hill, any amount of snow accumulated on the ground is cause for concern as it is a slippery drive down. The best thing is for the kids to walk to school. Well, Jessica didn't feel like she wanted to make the trek to school so she stayed home, while Michael the trooper walked by himself. Stephanie had to miss preschool as I could not manouver the car down the hill and as there were cars stuck on the roads already, I couldn't even try and get a cab. It was a lovely snow day and too beautiful to stay inside.

Wow, that's quite a surprise, but beautiful indeed. We are fully into spring now. Rain for the next few days. Buds here and there are ready to open and temperature has been very mild.
