Celebration Time...
May is a busy month full of birthdays, Mothers' Day, and family gatherings - all on top of our already crazy weekends. After Jessica's drama class and Michael's art class, we went to the final TSO childrens' concert for the season. We were a little sad as we had enjoyed the concerts for the past two years. Jessica and Michael learned a lot about the orchestra, music and really developed an appreciation for going to Roy Thomson Hall to hear the orchestra. Today was Stephanie's first time and except for the two trips to the bathroom, dropping the pen on the floor, and kicking the seats in front of us, she did just fine. After the concert, we were on our way to Wah Sing for a lobster feast to celebrate mom and dad's 42nd anniversary/Michael's 9th birthday (which is actually tomorrow) when we spotted a live clone trooper standing on Queen St. Michael was delighted and Jessica managed to snap a picture while driving past. In hindsight, this was a sign of good things to come. After the feast, we came back home for some tea and cake. Michael was thrilled, to say the least, in fact he almost fainted when he received the Lego starwars set from grandma and grandpa and a Mariokart DS game pack from Jessica, and clay and materials to make a claymation from Uncle Mark and Aunt Meredith. He has since disappeared into the basement where he is determined to stay up until he completes building his Lego set. In the meantime, Mark took time out to show off his new toy - the iphone he got for his birthday from Meredith, to mom and dad. Dad was especially impressed with the bowling game capability ;-)
So it was a wonderful day to celebrate family, and a great way to start off the month of May.Posted by Picasa
